Forth Capital’s most recent Wealth Management seminar, hosted by investment guru Jim Rogers, focused on China, Oil, Gold, and where Jim believes the markets are headed in 2015.
A native of Demopolis, Alabama, Jim is an author, financial commentator, adventurer and successful international investor. He has been frequently featured in The New York Times, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and many more media outlets worldwide. He is a regular commentator and columnist and was previously a professor at Columbia University.
Held at the Iconic China Club in Hong Kong, with an excellent Cantonese style business lunch, this was a fantastic setting for Jim to network with the guests, sign books and take pictures before the presentations began. Forth Capital Hong Kong Managing Director, Dr Graham Brown, opened the floor and welcomed everyone to the event, followed by CEO Tom Tracy, who introduced Forth Capital and the main guest of the day, Jim Rogers.
Jim regaled the audience with stories of his 3-year Guinness World Record 245,000 km drive through 116 countries, his family’s relocation to Singapore and the importance of the Mandarin language, before discussing his thoughts on the markets in 2015 and various sectors such as China and Russia.
Following the presentation Jim took a variety of questions from the floor, before hosting the business card draw, where 10 lucky guests received a personally signed copy of Jim’s latest book, Street Smarts.
The event was a huge success, with an overwhelming positive response from all the attendees, and raised over $13,000 HK for our chosen charity, United for Colitis.
